Online Application & Image Upload

  • Scanned Photograph

    JPG/JPEG, 20–50 KB, about 3.5 × 4.5 cm (around 200 × 230 pixels), plain light background
    MANDATORY
    Used on SSC Stenographer admit card and attendance sheet; must be recent, clear, with full face visible and no cap or sunglasses.

  • Scanned Signature

    JPG/JPEG, about 10–20 KB, roughly 4.0 × 2.0 cm (around 140 × 60 pixels), black/blue ink on white paper
    MANDATORY
    Acts as specimen signature; should be in running handwriting (not capital letters) and will be matched with signatures during exam and DV.

  • Basic Personal, Academic & ID Details

    Name, parents’ names, address, Class 10 and 12 details, graduation (if any), Aadhaar or other ID number, category info

CBT Exam Centre (Computer-Based Test)

  • Printed SSC Stenographer Admit Card

    A4 print of the SSC Stenographer CBT admit card downloaded from SSC portal

    Shows exam date, reporting time, centre address and roll number; entry into CBT hall is not allowed without a valid admit card.

  • Original Government Photo ID Proof

Stenography Skill Test

  • Skill Test Call Letter / Admit Card

    Printed call letter for SSC Stenographer skill test (shorthand/typing)

    Contains schedule and venue details for the stenography skill test; must be presented at the skill test centre.

  • Original Photo Identity Proof

    Same set of valid government IDs as for CBT
